Music Is The Best, or How I Fell In Love With Frank Zappa

Rock journalism is people who can't write, interviewing people who can't talk, in order to provide articles for people who can't read - FZ

Happy Birthday Frank! God I wish you were still alive! Most people think Zappa was a crazy musical Frankenstein who ''once ate a shit onstage'' (I don't know where that myth came from!). But to me, Zappa was my introduction to music, alternative lifestyles and Coffee....Lots of Coffee.

My mum n dad used to own a hotel, It was named after me and one day when I was 14 a man stepped in wearing a camo jacket, shoulder length hair with a Silk Cut in his mouth; he ordered a pint of stout and sat down. This guy took out a bunch of cds from a blue and white striped plastic bag; after half on hour I walked over and asked him what they were. Instead of replying he asked me two questions, “Do you like Frank Zappa? and do you smoke dope?”

Hello one and all again and I have more bad news, it seems like that's all I've been giving recently. We'll we found out that Etta James is terminally Ill with Leukaemia last January, but now it's been announced that is incurable.  Etta is named 22 on the Rolling Stone top Singer poll, but Maaan she can blow any singer off the stage; She was the archetype for the strong female soul singer.

RIP Hubert Sumlin

One of the last blues legends passes away
Hubert Sumlin dies at 80 years old

Six days ago a 80 year old blues musician died, their wasn't the huge outcry of grief that other celebrities have got but it hit me pretty hard. If you've ever listened to 'Killing Floor Blues', 'Evil' or 'Smokestack lightning' you'll know the kind of talent Hubert was.

Larry David makes an appearence looking prrrrrreeeety good as a nun . I think it won't be a bad film, it seemed just like the old stooges. Check out the official trailer , it gives good nun.
